Taylor Faulkner
Taylor Faulkner
Hello there! I’m Taylor Faulkner (she/her/hers), and thrilled to be a longstanding member of the Camps on Campus team, now embarking on my 8th summer with this incredible program. My connection with Camps on Campus began during my undergraduate years at UNC Charlotte, where I started as a counselor and gradually climbed the ranks to Lead Counselor, Associate Director, Interim Director, and finally Director. This journey has been nothing short of transformative, shaping both my professional trajectory and personal growth. Witnessing returning campers flourish, welcoming new families, and collaborating with our EXCEPTIONAL staff are highlights I cherish deeply. I am now working towards my Masters in Higher Education with a Concentration in Community College and University Leadership at Appalachian State University.
Originally from the mountains of Hendersonville, NC, I share my roots with my twin sister Tyra, and younger sister, Tiffany. Outside of work, you’ll often find me indulging in my passions for cooking, binge-watching TV, leisurely strolls, and quality time with loved ones. Prior to my current role, I served as a First Grade Educator in CMS, fueling my enthusiasm for teaching reading and literacy. The magic of first grade, where children take their first steps into the world of reading, is an unparalleled joy for me. Witnessing that “lightbulb moment” never fails to ignite my own passion for education. With a firm belief in the quote, “Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire,” I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to ignite sparks of curiosity and learning in our campers this summer.
I am genuinely excited to collaborate with you and your family, enriching your Camps on Campus experience. Here’s to a fantastic summer ahead—Go Niners!
