Carlos McCray

Greetings, everyone! I’m Carlos McCray (He/Him), and I’m absolutely thrilled to return to the role of Associate Director for the Camps on Campus Program this summer! As a proud Charlotte native, I’m deeply passionate about my community and dedicated to making a positive impact on the youth in this area.

I received my undergraduate degree from East Carolina University (Class of 2014) and I received my Masters in School Administration from UNC Charlotte (May 2024). With a diverse background in youth development, I’ve served as a YMCA summer camp counselor, volunteered with the Boys & Girls Club, taught elementary Physical Education for seven years, and currently serve as a Dean of Students within the CMS district.

Nothing brings me greater joy than collaborating with families and like-minded dedicated adults to create fun, engaging, and memorable experiences for the youth. I’m excited to meet everyone this summer and create a wonderful camp experience for all!
