A seasoned professional with 25 years in the field of higher education, Dr. Davis brings experience in multiple areas of Student Affairs and community building. She has held positions at Central Connecticut State University, Boston College, George Mason University, and the University of Georgia. In her current role at UNC Charlotte Dr. Davis serves a population of over 30,000 students and leads 35 professional staff in the offices of Financial Literacy; Identity, Equity and Engagement; New Student and Family Services; Student Accountability and Conflict Resolution; Student Affairs Research and Assessment; Student Assistance and Support Services; and Veteran Services. In addition, Dr. Davis acts as a Deputy TIX Coordinator, chairs the university Campus Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment teams, and serves as a primary point of contact for crisis management.

She is involved in professional associations including ACPA, ASCA, ATAP, ATIXA, NaBITA, and NASPA, and is a founding board member of the HUE Leadership Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting women of color in enhancing their skill sets so that they can change their lives. Dr. Davis earned her B.A. in Psychology from Central Connecticut State University, M.Ed. in Student Personnel in Higher  Education from the University of Georgia, and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from UNC Charlotte. She is also a graduate of the Crisis Management in Higher Education program at Harvard University and the Leadership Development program with the Center for Creative Leadership.
